Our History

Our History

European Services London Limited was created with a clear objective: to make international documentation and cross-border procedures simpler, safer and more predictable for our clients. Starting from London, we built our reputation by supporting individuals, families and companies who needed a reliable partner for complex document and legalisation processes.

Over the years, we have gradually expanded our capabilities and partner network, always focusing on quality rather than volume. Each new service we introduced – from notary coordination and apostille support to embassy legalisation and translations – was built around one principle: precise execution and transparent communication at every step.

Our team combines local knowledge of UK requirements with a strong understanding of international standards and expectations. This allows us to bridge the gap between different jurisdictions and to give clients clear, practical guidance instead of complicated jargon or generic answers.

Today, European Services London Limited works with private clients, professionals and corporate institutions across multiple countries, while our operational centre remains firmly rooted in London. We continue to invest in our people, technology and processes so that every instruction – from a single document to a complex multi-country mandate – is handled with the same level of care, discretion and attention to detail.

Our history is defined by consistency: consistent standards, consistent follow-through and a consistent commitment to doing things properly. This culture of precision and responsibility is what our clients rely on, and it remains at the core of everything we do.

Frequently Asked Questions

Notary Services

A notary public is an independent legal professional authorised to verify identities, confirm signatures and certify documents for international use. Their role ensures authenticity and legal validity across jurisdictions.

UK notaries provide document certification, signature verification, certified copies, oaths, powers of attorney and full support for documents intended for overseas authorities.

Solicitors can certify documents, but notaries are specifically authorised for international validation. Notarial certification is globally accepted and often required for cross-border matters.

You will typically require a notary when presenting UK documents abroad — for immigration, business, marriage, property transactions or academic purposes.

Notaries prepare your documents for the next step — whether that is obtaining an Apostille (FCDO) or embassy legalisation, depending on the destination country.

Fees vary depending on document type and complexity. Once submitted, our team reviews your documents and provides a transparent quotation before proceeding.

Document Legalisation

Document legalisation prepares UK documents for official use abroad. It may involve notarisation, apostille certification or embassy attestation — depending on the destination country.

Our team submits your documents to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). Priority and same-day services are available. We ensure documents meet requirements before submission.

The Apostille is a simplified international certificate accepted by all Hague Convention countries. For non-Hague countries, embassy legalisation is required in addition to the Apostille.

Most documents go directly for Apostille certification. Some may require solicitor or notary preparation beforehand. Public documents (birth, marriage, death certificates) typically need no solicitor certification.
